Organize a Workshop!
Maskbook is more than just a project, it's a global movement made up of people who are committed to the health of our planet and who wish to spread the Maskbook project by organizing a workshop.
Maskbook’s tutorial video that explains, in less than 5 minutes, the basic elements of organizing a workshop.
A Maskbook workshop allows everyone to get involved in the fight against climate change, while simultaneously providing an opportunity to explore the link between art and sustainable development and to get first-hand experience of the circular economy. Organizing a Maskbook workshop is a great way to harness every person’s creativity and to allow every person canvas upon which they can express their concerns and voice their solutions for the environment. The participation and contributions of each individual are what make the collective work powerful, unique and diverse.
A Maskbook workshop is adaptable in every sense, from the recycled waste ingredients collected, to the number of participants and the space.
A workshop can count anywhere from 5 to 500 people, and can take place in your apartment, company offices, a museum, public parks, at festivals or at events dedicated to art or sustainable development; the possibilities are endless!
Following a few, simple guidelines will allow your workshop to be a success and will allow all participants to join Maskbook.org
Make sure you follow these 3 basic principles:
1 / The workshop is organized in a way that is as ecological as possible (masks made with eco-materials, the tools used to assemble masks don’t need electricity, etc.).
2 / The masks created must have the form of an anti-pollution mask (the eyes appear but the nose is covered).
3 / The photos are taken in landscape format in front of a solid-color background, are centered and facing the participant and their creation.
Here are two essential documents to read before organizing a workshop:
is our guide which lays out all the steps of organizing a workshop.
is our guide which zooms in on the mask-making portion.
Additional document(s):
is the information document that every participant needs to fill out during the workshop, before or after their portrait is taken!
is the DIY mask creation tutoriel that guides you to creating a blank model of the anti-dust mask, using the recycled materials or paper that you have on hand.
