Explanation of my mask and its message
This mask was especially created for me by the artist Ender, as part of the Maskbook campaign for the 5th anniversary of the Paris Agreement.
Here is his message:
My latest series, "Fragile", provides a perspective on feelings, oaths, emotions, society, nature, and explores fragility and therefore preciousness. My work "A Fragile World" was first created on canvas with an accumulation of "fragile" labels for the exhibition "Ender: fragile et non-conform" in 2019. Following lockdown, Gautier Jourdain – then programmer of the MUR Oberkampf – invited me to create a work for the reopening of this emblematic Parisian space. Therefore on May 26, 2020, the Planisphere, made up of hundreds of “fragile” pieces of scotch tape, was inaugurated. The vulnerabilities of our world are numerous, whether environmental, political or related to our wellbeing. The piece invites viewers to project their own vision.
