Explanation of my mask and its message
This mask describes the daily life of the modern family: a middle class residential neighborhood. Seemingly happy family members go about their life. The father, working full time, takes his car alone every day to get to work in the city. The mother, working part-time, brings the three children to the different schools in the morning, then goes to her workplace downtown to pick up the children at school afterwards. At home, Mom begins to cook and do the housework while the children do the homework, watch TV on the flat screen, play at the Playstation or send messages to their friends with their smartphone. When Dad comes home, the family eats, watches TV, goes to sleep, and starts it all again the next day ...
My solution to the environmental crisis
A restructuring of social life: work, school, place of residence and leisure should be gathered in the same neighborhoods. This would reduce car uses and co-workers and friends of the school would become neighbors. Everyone would be better able to organize a collective life, thus reducing dependence on technology and consumption.
