Bangalore and New Delhi, Maskbook's Exciting End of the Year India Program

Maskbook is off to a new location and going where air pollution hits the hardest... Over the course of 2 weeks, Maskbook will be taking a cross-country trip in India with an exciting program of five workshops throughout New Delhi and Bengaluru, in collaboration with major players in the fields of art, social entrepreneurship and environment: Jaaga, Swechha and Jagriti Yatra.

Celebrated environmentalist Afroz Shah, ‘‘Champion of the Earth’’ and leader of the biggest beach-clean up to date, is the patron of this Maskbook in India program. He says, ‘‘Maskbook transforms waste, a marker of pollution, into a work of art that sends a powerful message for the environment.’’

The Maskbook workshop could not come at a better time. New Delhi has been in the headlines of every major news publication across the globe because of its record high levels of air pollution. The toxic conditions in the capital city led the Indian Medical Association to declare a public health emergency.  Other Indian cities are also at risk — out of the world’s 20 most polluted cities, half of them are located in India ! Maskbook is on the scene, ready to help empower city residents of New Delhi and Bengaluru to be the change they want to see in their air and environment
