Alternatiba Paris Workshops !

One of the major upcoming events of the season: The Village of Alternatives Place de la République in Paris.

The first vehicule free day will take place in Paris on the 27th of September, organised by the city of Paris : this will be the perfect occasion to raise awareness on urban pollution and to alter the meaning of an anti-pollution mask into a work of art that will carry an important message.

This will be an opportunity for citizens to meet the Maskbook and Art of Change team but most importantly to create your mask in a friendly and creative atmosphere. Workshop animators(often artists) will be on hand to guide you in the creation of your mask. Lots of ‘ingredients’ will be spread out on  tables : ribbons, markers, cork stoppers, recycled plastic cans, small toys, magazines, etc. Different types of masks will be available to choose from : soft, hard, papier maché, classic anti-pollution masks, cardboard, etc. When you are finished with the creation of your mask a professional photographer will be at hand to take a portrait of you in your masked creation, by doing so you will show your commitment towards the issue of climate change and heighten awareness about the link between air pollution, climate change and our health.

This is just the beginning of a long journey for Maskbook workshops which will be held up until the COP21 in december thanks to our numerous partners (Respirations, Greenflex, etc.) ! The programme of upcoming events will be available soon so stay connected !
