Maskbook with the Indigenous Peoples!

Pierre de Vallombreuse, renowned french photographer specialised in the portrayal of the indigenous peoples, is presently in the Philippines amongst the Badjaos peoples to assist them in the realisation of our Maskbook masks. These ‘Nomads of the sea’ also represent an important part of the malaysian and indonesian population. They will be amongst the first to be threatened by rising water levels as their society depends on the ocean.

Pierre de Vallombreuse has published a series of photo-documentaries concerning the indigenous peoples,  notably 14 of them worldwide between 1989 and 2005. He will return to Fance on the 6th of october and will present the work he has done for Maskbook !

Whilst we eagerly await the masks from the Badjaos peoples you can take a look at his photographic work on the Pierre de Vallombreuse website : http://www.pierredevallombreuse.com/fr
